Terms of Service

By Comissioning CownoseCove Studios, you hereby agree to the following terms and conditions

Commission Requirements
  • To commission Cownose Cove Studios, you must be 18 years of age or older.

  • We focus on toony suit styles. We will not change styles per commissioner request- look through our gallery and confirm that our products are the style that you want.

  • It is your job as the commissioner to make sure that we have all of the necessary information for your suit. We will keep open and frequent communication with you the commissioner, but it falls on you to make sure we have the needed information to achieve your dream suit.

  • You must have a high quality three pose reference sheet of the character that includes color palette and species. We may also accept a two-pose sheet but may refuse a commission if the reference sheet is not adequate.

  • Additional fees may be incurred if the design of the character is altered after the design agreement has been finalized and/or work has begun on the suit.

  • If ordering a full suit, we require an up-to-date DTD (duct tape dummy). We are not responsible for any sizing issues due to incorrectly sized or outdated DTD.

  • We maintain the right to make minor design changes, in conversation with the commissioner, in order to adapt the character to a suit.

  • You the commissioner are to maintain prompt and respectful communication to us. Failure to communicate for a period of three weeks or longer may result in the project being considered abandoned and no refund will be given.

Payment:
  • You will receive a quote after submitting your application. To reserve your slot, you will pay a non-refundable down payment of 30% of the original quoted price. 

  • We accept payment via Square, Cash App, PayPal, or in person at a convention.

  • Any changes, requests, or alterations not mentioned in the original quote form are subject to additional costs.

  • All quotes will be presented in USD

  • There may be a transaction fee depending on the form of payment provided

  • We will begin physical work on your commission when you have paid 50% of the original quoted price. 

  • If you cancel at any point after we have begun work on the suit, the refund given will depend on percentage of project completion.  We reserve the right to refund as much or as little as we deem fit. THE ORIGINAL 30% DOWNPAYMENT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED NO MATTER THE SUIT PROGRESS.

  • We do offer payment plans. After the original 30% is paid, you may pay monthly for your suit until it is fully paid off. This number must exceed 200 per month.

  • If you are unable to make a payment, reach out to us ASAP. We reserve the right to cancel a commission on the bases of three or more missed payments.

  • No product will be delivered until fully paid off.

Art:

Art commissions DO NOT have payment plans! The reason is because the art commissions are a flat price and only take a few days to complete with consistent work. We do not really like taking payment plans while doing art. We may take some exceptions, on occasion. If you are one of those circumstances, you will not receive your commission until it is paid and full!

WIP, Communication, Allergies:

WE HAVE A CAT!

  • If you have any allergies to cats, fur, etc. let us know so we can accommodate you to the best of our ability. We cannot guarantee that there will be no traces of cat fur, but we can take extra care cleaning at the end of the process

  • You have the right to request updates on your suit at any time, and you can access our trello or telegram channel for public suiting updates.

  • We do not offer commission deadline guarantees. 

  • Prior to beginning work on the suit, I will work with you to translate your design into real life. This means that we need active communication and detailed responses to bring your design to life!

  • We cannot guarantee 100% reference sheet to Fursuit accuracy. There may be slight color differences, slight pattern differences, etc.

  • During your WIP of your suit, I will provide draw overs, double check designs, and progress pictures. 

Shipping:
  • Shipping costs ARE NOT included in the original quote, and will be charged to you directly before shipping out the suit

  • Prices can vary depending on the distance, market, insurance, etc.

  • We can do convention pickup if we happen to plan to be at the same convention as you!

Warranty And Repairs:

If your fursuit happens to become damaged within 90 days after you’ve received it, I will fix it for free, you just have to pay shipping costs. This includes, but not limited to, ripped seams or holes, damaged eyes, areas where adhesives or glues fail, etc. We do not cover self-inflicted damage upon the suit, wear and tear, incorrect sizing parts on the commissioner's behalf (gives us a head circumference size of 22, but in reality, your head is 23 inches around). Any modifications or repairs done that’s not us will void the warranty. I will not fix any modifications done by another maker!

 

Prices on Repairs outside of warranty will be a case-by-case scenario judged by what is needed to be done on the head. I will require pictures of the damages or upgrades you would like on your head.  Payment plans on repairs are welcomed and will be discussed with customers, accordingly. A minimum payment of 30% down to ensure the repairs. Payment will be needed within 7 business days. 

Social Media:
  • Cownose Coves reserves rights to post work in progress and finished photos of any completed projects any any social media sites as they want.
